The monthly electric bills for this custom home overlooking the Jet Propulsion Laboratories were over $1,300. The homeowner asked SES to install an 11.5 kW solar power system on the ridge behind his home that would not be visible from the road. The custom cantilevered, ground-mounted solar array was designed to withstand hilltop winds and seismic loads. The photovoltaic system worked so well that the homeowner added another 11.5 kW of solar power to reduce his electric bill to around $100 a month. |
