360kW – Air Force Base Solar Power Shadeport Systems
Savings per month – $6,000

Government Installations are under federal mandate to reduce energy usage 30% by 2015, and increase the use of renewable energy 7.5% by 2013.  The Los Angeles Air Force Base met those steep requirements by installing solar electrical shadeports.  Go Green Solar Solutions was chosen for the project because of their innovative design, efficient installation schedule and proven superior quality.  This project is unique because it was the first time modules were panelized (seven modules combined into one long panel) in the factory and shipped directly to the site, saving 20 – 30% in on-site labor costs.  The three-phase project was completed in three short months and is projected to result in over $12.5 million in energy savings over the next 30 years.
